Jennifer Garner's son gave her a 'big' check. The adorable reason? 'Being my mama'

Jennifer Garner announced on Instagram on Friday that she would be keeping her day job. 

The actress and mother of three shared a photo of a check written to her by her son, Samuel, for a whopping $168.42. The 7-year-old wrote that the reason for the check for his mother was for "being my mama." 

And the lime green check comes right from the official "Piggy Bank" and is complete with a date written out: Dec. 25, 2019. 

Garner, 47, shared a photo of the check on her Instagram account: "Apparently, birthing and raising someone is valued at $168.42. I guess I should keep my day job," she wrote in the caption with two hashtags, "#iwouldbehismamaforfree" and "ohwaitIalreadyam."

Celebs were quick to respond to Garner's post on Instagram, including Mindy Kaling, who laughed, and New York Times Columnist Nicholas Kristof, who wrote, "I suspect there are other non-monetary compensations!!!"

Garner who also has two daughters with former husband Ben Affleck, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 11, and Violet , 14. 

She has posted about motherhood frequently on her Instagram, at one point even sharing a hilarious "back to school" meme that she created herself.

In an interview with People, she said that motherhood has changed her in a lot of ways. Part of the beauty of motherhood, she told People, is that seeing one's children at varying stages and different moments, especially the thoughtful ones.

"You don't see your kids being your idealized version of them all the time," Garner said. "But if you can just have faith in your own in who you are and who they are as people, it's so beautiful when you see it starting to come out."
