The aim of the company was to provide the UK retail travel trade with the products to enable tailor made packaging, the forerunner to dynamic packaging that exists today. Products offered were hotel accommodation, single day and multi-day tours, sightseeing (by plane, train, bus, boat or helicopter) and attractions. Some 30 years later, nothing has changed, except the technology that drives the business forward.   In 1988, at the request of Virgin, Peter Mackness opened and operated the Virgin Holidays office in Orlando and subsequently New York from 1990-1996, hiring and training staff to oversee the ever increasing influx of British visitors to Florida. Alongside Virgin Holidays, Peter established Travel House of America in Orlando, a Receptive Tour operator that serves the needs of wholesalers and tour operators for the entire USA.  A second operation was opened in 2009, Florida Travel Network (FTN) that concentrates on Florida, in particular Central Florida. Today, leading tour operators across the globe, many household names, purchase products from FTN, in particular self catering homes and apartments in Orlando..
