INTERIOR designer Andrée Putman has died aged 87. The famed French creative passed away at her home in Paris this morning, her family confirmed today.

Putman was renowned for her work designing boutique interiors for some of the biggest names in fashion, including Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent and Guerlain. She also redesigned the interior of the Concorde jet and countless modern boutique hotels and apartments around the world - including a 31-story skyscraper in Hong Kong named The Putman. In 1997 she launched her eponymous interior design company, Studio Putman - of which her daughter Olivia has been art director since 2007.

The designer's funeral will be held on Wednesday at the Eglise Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris, reports WWD.
