Roman Ondák shows Arc at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris

Slovak artist Roman Ondák shares his world view in a new conceptual show in Paris.
Roman Ondak

Originally from Slovakia, conceptual performance artist Roman Ondák has been working in a style all his own since the early 1990s, towards a collective and individual appropriation of the process of creating art. With a body of work that is at once both contextual and relational, the artist offers an experience of art as a tool to help us understand the world around us, in a continuation of the art world commentary of John Dewey. Measuring the Universe is a progressive piece that flirts with both installation and performance art, starting out as a blank white wall that is gradually covered with the names and sizes of the visitors who engage with the work.

Exhibition open from September 28 to December 16, 2012. MAMVP, 11, avenue du Président Wilson, 75116 Paris
