8 rare Abyssinian cats looking for new homes at MSPCA
A group of rare, exotic cats will soon be ready for adoption at the MSPCA.
Eight purebred Abyssinian cats, which are rarely seen in animal shelters, were surrendered to the MSPCA and are now at the Cape Cod adoption center.
“The owner surrendered the cats after becoming overwhelmed and realizing they were not able to provide the cats with the stability and medical care they need,” the MSPCA posted.
The MSPCA said the cats had to be treated for some stomach issues and minor upper respiratory infections but should be healthy and ready for new homes in the next two weeks.
“The cats are active and affectionate, and so very cute,” the MSPCA posted.
