Xperia 5V is the best balanced phone. I don't know if I should wait for 5 VI though. It's probably gonna have the same processor, so not sure what upgrade they could give and if the price would be worth it

For the price of the new Xperia 1 VI (including import tax), I could buy two iPhone 15s brand new and still save some money for a Galaxy A54. Wish Sony sold their phones in more markets.

This is my 3rd Sony phone. Using 1st week. Making good photos indeed. But it hardly ever reads NFC cards... What a disappointment for 1000 EUR.. I spent an hour to read Tangem NFC card to acces my wallet. I pays well in shops, but cannot read cards ...

So what? I have a tablet and a smart TV where I can watch videos. And for those rare occasions when I have to use a smartphone screen for watching videos, I think this screen will do just fine.
You seem to misunderstand Sony's main target audience — folks that do not need to buy a one-stop shop device because they can afford to have multiple devices for different purposes.
This is a very good smartPHONE for communicating and consuming content on the go. Oh, at it also makes great pictures and videos, has unblemished screen without any holes notches etc., toolless SIM tray, SD card support, audio jack, front facing speakers, and the hardware shutter button.
The thing is it's hard to understand how convenient these things are in everyday life until you get to use them in real life.
I'd say Mark V will be a great upgrade over my Mark III. Great battery life and Qi compliant wireless charging / reverse wireless charging, fantastic!
