A new rumor indicates Disney+ could be looking to add an adults-only section. The Digital Bits' Bill Hunt stated, "Hearing interesting reports from sources in the last couple days that Disney is creating essentially a more adult section of Disney+ that will require pin code access." He continued, "And that's where all of the Fox and MGM content will go moving forward. Including lots of #4K."RELATED: Disney Television Studios Rebrands Its Three Divisions

Hunt later noted, "It makes sense for some of these Fox and MGM titles to go on Disney+ because it already has a far larger international reach than Hulu (which is only available in the US and Japan at the moment)." He then clarified that, instead of MGM, he meant to say Touchstone, the studio previously responsible for releasing Disney's adult-skewing fare.

Disney+ launched in Nov. 2019 with an emphasis on family-friendly programs. No R-rated films or TV shows are currently available on the service. However, following the acquisition of 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight in the Disney/Fox merger, the Mouse House now has a much larger library of R-rated content on its hands. Whether or not it'll utilize that content through this rumored adults-only section of Disney+ remains to be seen.
