27 dec 2018 · Do you have Avast anti-virus installed? If so you will need to uninstall it (disabling it is not enough) for a Win 2000 guest to work.

29 feb 2012 · Every time, after password and network setting, it start to install parts and then reboot and restart installation from beginning, infinitly.

14 okt 2008 · I discovered an earlier thread on the same problem. The solution is to install the additions from 2.0.0. This seems to fix the problem.

27 mrt 2020 · That is the normal boot screen of Windows 2000. As it boots, you should see a series of blue dots in the box to show how far the boot has progressed.

20 jul 2017 · That is a standard Windows 2000/Windows 7 boot error screen. It happens anytime that a machine (physical or virtual) is not shut down properly.

18 feb 2017 · Went to start my Windows 2000 Prof system and it hangs on the Windows 2000 "Starting..." splash screen. This was last used a few weeks ago with no issues.

23 sep 2008 · I'm using VirtualBox 2.0.2 on Windows XP SP3, on a Core 2 Duo T5670 1.8GHz with 2GB RAM. I have installed a Windows 2000 guest OS.

10 okt 2010 · Try to stop the guest and delete the binding to the cd drive/iso. Or try to change the boot order with "ESC" at guest startup.
