COAMPS ensemble shows a wide range of intensities for #PTC6. Tracks further east are stronger, likely due to less interaction with land and also being in less shear under the anticyclone. Gonna be important to monitor the trends in structure and position with this one.

We now have Potential Tropical Cyclone 6 in the Western Gulf of Mexico. #PTC6 is expected to strengthen into a hurricane ahead of landfall in the middle of this week. Damaging winds, storm surge, and flash flooding would be its primary hazards. This is not a threat to Florida.
