Photo By Carter Smith1/11Vanessa Hudgens arrived at our shoot with a Starbucks green tea in her hand and beaded sandals on her feet. She sat down in front of the mirror and said to hairstylist Serge Normant, "I'm still not used to my bangs." The actress had had them cut a month earlier for her role in Beastly, opposite Mary-Kate Olsen and Neil Patrick Harris. Makeup artist Linda Cantello was astonished by Hudgens's long lashes—in fact, she almost forgot to apply mascara. "That's the only time I've forgotten that in my entire career," said Cantello. "Your lashes are so full, I didn't even notice."
Photo By Carter Smith2/11In 2007, several risqué photographs of Hudgens, including one full-frontal nude shot, surfaced on the Internet. Hudgens issued a public apology and moved on, reputation intact. But the photos have followed her, with a second set appearing online in August. "Whenever anybody asks me, would I do nudity in a film, if I say that it's something I'm not comfortable with, they're like, 'Bullshit, you've already done it.' If anything, it makes it more embarrassing, because that was a private thing. It's screwed up that someone screwed me over like that," she adds, sighing. "At least some people are learning from my mistakes."

We called this pose our Mary-Kate and Ashley, because in our brains, we're twins; people just don't know it. Posing is a good thing to think about, and I usually slack in that department."

It's awesome because the fans voted for me, which means a lot, but I was debating forever: 'What the hell am I going to say in my acceptance speech? Thank God for making me look the way I look?' The Jo Bros were really sweet. They came to one of my concerts a long time ago. It's just been incredible watching them go."

"I look kind of frightening there, don't I? Sweaty, just...ugh. I would go to these places in the South, it would be 100 degrees, and I'd have an hour-long set where I was dancing nonstop and singing live. Going on tour, it's so hard to look glamorous all the time."

"We actually have the same stylist. That was our first time hanging out together. We were sitting at the same table; we went to the afterparties together and just had a great time. It was my first Golden Globes."
