Marbella is about glamour, and a good proof of it are its amazing Beach Clubs along the coast. Fine structures, extravagant infinity swimming pools by the beach, white mattress and teak lounger beds, large sunbeds, music and top DJ’s, sophisticated drinks … and beautiful suntanned bodies under the sun… this is Marbella at its finest!
There are many restaurants and beach bars along the Marbella coastline. Some of them are called ‘Beach Clubs’ because they target high-end clients. However beach clubs are much more than restaurants or pubs- they are places to hold sophisticated parties for the jet set who are at the time in Marbella. They open in April and close in October, and are good way to take the pulse to the city in summer. Below we offer a list of the main ones.
Nikki Beach.- it is probably the most renowned one. Located at the Don Carlos Hotel beach, Nikki Beach is famous for its celebrities and beautiful people atmosphere, as well as its parties. Its champagne contests and opening white parties are some of the most popular regular events.
Puro Beach.- this beach club is located in the beautiful Laguna Village complex, between Marbella and Estepona. Though small, Puro Beach boasts a distinctly laid-back atmosphere. It has an infinity pool, great music you can buy on a CD, and lovely food.
Funky Buddha Beach.- Recently opened, it is located by the eastern entry to Marbella and offers a swimming pool right on the beach, go-go dancers, parties, and live music…
Ocean Club.- One of the classic ones, next to Puerto Banús marina. Superb restaurant, large swimming pool, absolutely glamorous.
Plaza Beach.- It is right at the entrance of Puerto Banús marina. It does not have a swimming pool but has 12 luxurious jacuzzis instead. Fun is guaranteed.
La Sala By the Sea.- This is the Beach club version of the extremely well-known La Sala restaurant. The Beach club is small but it always has a very lively atmosphere. A favourite one among British.
In addition to these ones, we should also mention legendary ones like La Cabane, at Hotel Los Monteros, Bono’s Beach, Bora Bora… or more recent ones such as Beach Club Estrella del Mar, etc. They are a luxury for the senses and a must in Marbella.
