Though their fairy-tale romance ended up as more of a cautionary tale, former “BachelorJake Pavelka says he has no regrets over his ill-fated engagement to Vienna Girardi.

The 24-year-old Girardi was caught cheating on her fiance with Greek star Michael Gregory while Pavelka was off shooting a guest starring role on Lifetime‘s Drop Dead Diva.

“My goal in life is to make decisions that minimize regrets. I don’t regret anything I’ve done,” Pavelka, 32, said while co-hosting the show, Good Morning Texas, Friday. “It’s been the most amazing ride.”

A source close to the couple, however, told Us Weekly that the cheating was just one of several thorny problems in the relationship since Pavelka gave Girardi the final rose on the “The Bachelor.”

Pavelka himself told Extra last week that Girardi was jealous of his success after the Bachelor, including his stint on Dancing With the Stars, that “she feels should have been her’s.”

“Girardi was jealous of him and did not support his career,” the insider told Us Weekly. “The cheating was just the final straw. Things had been troubled for awhile.”
