Max Mosley, the former Formula One boss, shot himself in the head after being told he had just weeks to live, it was revealed at an inquest yesterday.

He returned home from a meal last May with his wife, who objected to suicide, and was later found with a fatal gunshot wound.

Mosley, 81, developed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, a cancer affecting immune cells, in 2019. However, despite the efforts of doctors, treatment was unsuccessful and he was moved on to palliative care, Westminster coroner’s court was told yesterday.
