Bangkok's one of the busiest nightlife scenes Khoa San Road is reportedly to reopen for business at the end of October together with a number of street vendors coming back to both sides of the street and also forthcoming events to attract visitors.

Following the news about the government's plans to rejuvenate Thailand's economy by focusing of tourist affairs, the famous (and, at times, infamous) spot in the heart of Rattanakosin Island is the latest to get the revival treatment.

According to Bangkok Post, the good news came after the deputy meeting on Wednesday, 1st October, which revealed that the street has now received a green light to relaunch "street-side trade along the road" by October 30 or 31.

Bangkok deputy governor Sakoltee Phattiyakul also pointed out that Khao San Road was very essential to the tourism in the city. Since the pandemic had spread early this year, the area saw a downtrend in its livelihood, for it has always been the highlight of all foreign visitors, so he hoped the locals and expats will help Khao San coming back to life.

Apart from the return of street vendors, there will be promotional events every month to appeal more crowds to Khoa San Road. Furthermore, other areas near Khao San like Klong Chong Nonsi will be rehabilitated into a tourist spot, as stated by Bangkok governor Aswin Kwanmuang.

Stay tuned for more news on the events at Khao San Road.
